Presentation:
Mohamed Shoman joined PlaNet Finance in November 2008 as Regional Technical Assistance Director for the Middle East Region. He is in charge of providing tailored technical assistance to NGOs, bank, government authorities and private sector partners in designing, promoting, implementing and evaluating microfinance programs and projects in Egypt and all across the Middle East region.
Mr. Shoman has more than 8 years of experience in the field of development, specifically in private sector development, microfinance, and social development. Mr. Shoman has been involved in a range of technical assistant programs in the ME region, particularly with UNDP Syria taking a leading role in the development of the Syrian National Microfinance Strategy and also helping the Syrian Trust Fund improving its MF program and developing its BDS strategy. Mr. Shoman has also assisted the UNDP-Bahrain in developing its MF program.
Mr. Shoman holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, as well as an Executive Management Post-graduate Diploma from the American University in Cairo. He is also a certified trainer from John Hopkins University.
