Presentation:

Benjamin Sellé is Project Coordinator for PlaNet Finance Egypt.

Since September 2007, Benjamin has worked on the National Impact Study in Egypt in which he was the field coordinator, managing the team of supervisors and surveyors. He was the link with the partner Egyptian MFIs, organizing the sampling and the implementation of the data collection.

In the past months, Benjamin participated in proposal design, and started to train loan officers on micro-insurance. He is currently working on the Information Sharing System project as field coordinator.

Having lived four years in the Middle East, three years in Egypt and one in Syria, he speaks fluent Arabic, and has growing understanding of the region.

Before joining Planet Finance, Benjamin has worked at the Ibn Khaldun center for Development studies in Egypt, where he did research on political changes in the Arab world. He also worked as a translator, and did an internship at the IFC.

Benjamin has a B.A. is Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic.
