Présentation:

Carole Escaravage is currently the Representative of PlaNet Finance UAE. Prior to that, Carole Escaravage worked both at the Communication Department of PlaNet Finance Headquarters and as the Country Director of PlaNet Finance Egypt. She is an expert in Microfinance and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Based in Egypt until the end of 2007, she managed various microfinance projects such as developing a business plan for the inception of the first public private microfinance company in Egypt, designing the national portal for Egyptian microfinance stakeholders, or developing an Arabic curriculum for the MENA region in partnership with a well-known MFI. She also worked on two pioneering projects for the Egyptian microfinance sector: a feasibility study aiming at using SMS technology for microfinance beneficiaries (Mobile Banking) and the design and implement of a national credit bureau for MFIs.

Before joining Planet Finance, she worked 5 years in Paris as a project manager specialised in ICT for Hachette Multimedia, a publishing leading firm in France.

Carole Escaravage is graduated in Business and Administration from the Management School of Nantes and holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics from the University of Gothenburg.
